Color Guard

Color Guard is the sport of the arts.  We perform choreographed routines to music with props such as flags and rifles.  At the High School level and beyond the color guard performs with a marching band, but we perform to prerecorded music at football and basketball game halftimes.

Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15 until 4:45. Performances adhere to the game schedule.

You must:

• Have passing grades
• Attend practices
• Have good school attendance
• Have a good attitude
• Practice on your own!!!

We learn two routines:

1. The Oak Park fight song routine to perform at football games.
2. An indoor routine to perform basketball games.

Practice flags are not allowed on NKC School buses. They are $20 and payable by cash, check (made out to AMS), or My Payments Plus.
